Information on the main Kamloops area hiking trails is now found on a companion website:

The rest of the lesser-known trails in the area will be shown on a Google Map here and the relevant articles can be found by using a search using the keyword/tag listed on the Google Map.

The challenge of the Kamloops area is that many of the trails have little signage, nor trail markings.   There are hundreds of trails and routes, but most require some exploration.   A number of routes may have issues of crossing grazing leases, private lands access, parkland restrictions, or shared use problems.   Nevertheless, the lists below may help with some of this.

Kamloops Area — 11 Comments

  1. Not sure if it’s a possibility, but could a map be created of the Kamloops area with little pins to show where each trail is? With so many unfamiliar trail names, it’s hard to know what part of Kamloops these trails are in. A static (or better yet, interactive) map to pinpoint where each trail starts and goes would be fantastic. 🙂

  2. My son goes on your site all the time, and is always showing me your photos and posts, and hiking these trails with his Grandpa or me.

I would like to mention that I am a local artist and do oil paintings of this area. I currently have a solo show at the Old Courthouse Cultural Center called “Point of View”, Local landscapes of BC. Please come out and see it, I know you all would enjoy it. It is open Tues-Fri 10-5pm and Sat. 10-4. until June 24th. Thanks!
