Trails going west from Barnhartvale, following a benchland

Driving Directions/Trailhead:

• From the TransCanada Highway, turn onto Dallas Drive, then at the turning circle, drive up Todd Road
• At 1.3 km turn right onto McLeod Road
• Park at the end of McLeod Road/Uplands Drive
• The trails start straight ahead

Trails:

• The single tracks on the benchland are in the open grasslands.
• Single tracks that climb into the hills are mostly in the forest.
• There are new fences,new signage, and closed trails starting in the drainage/gully 2 km east.
• There are routes that go around, but will require exploration.
• These trails used to connect to Juniper Ridge, but now no longer connect without finding fences and access west past the fences may not be possible in the future.
• The short loops to the west of the trailhead are still enjoyable hikes.
