A very nice short hike is along the Rose Hill Ridge next to the gasline track. Hikers can park at the gate by Rose Hill Road or park in Rose Hill Park and walk down. The gasline is a wide double track suitable for walking, hiking, dog-walking, running, etc., connecting Rose Hill to Juniper Ridge. There are some single tracks that go out to the slope break though, providing fine views to the north, northeast, and northwest. The short route is about 2 km.
