Struthers Creek Falls
Struthers Creek Falls is a small falls that tumbles over lava cliffs. It is accessed from the Orchard Lake Road. A few kilometers up the road is a wooden sign on a tree and there is room for a couple of vehicles to park on the side of the road. A narrow trail descends and traverses sideslopes to a rocky canyon.
In September there wasn’t much water in Struthers Creek. The creek runs out of Struthers Lake farther up the road. A number of small streams flows into Struthers Creek. This would be a more impressive falls in spring
A small plunge pool was constantly sprayed from above. Mosses and plants in a wet environment surrounded the falls.
This is a short hike best done in conjunction with a hike in the Orchard Lake Trail system (link) or a paddle on to Badger Lake.
