Pinantan Paddle
We try to do a different lake 9or river( each time we paddle so we get to about half of the lakes in the area each year. In most years we paddle Pinantan Lake once. It is a quiet paddle with only electric motors allowed on the lake and not many fishermen. We usually launch from the small community park across from the school.
A paddle around the shoreline of the main lake is about 4.5 km.
We enjoy the narrow channel at the northeast corner of the lake.
It is possible to paddle into the upper lake, but a paddler has to get to the base of the beaver dam and haul the boat over the barrier to paddle beyond. On our last paddle there, we did just that (link to that article).
On this August day we went up the channel then turned around and came along the south shore of the lake paddling toward Rockface Mountain
It takes an hour to paddle around the lake but with a bit of exploration will take about 1.25 hours, a pleasant paddle in summer.
