Bodega Ridge Hike
We have been to Galiano Island a few times to paddle, camp, hike, and explore. On one of the trips in spring, we hiked in Bodega Ridge Provincial Park. The Bodega Ridge Trail starts at the end of Cottage Way and climbs along the ridge for 3+ kms. Most hikers go along the ridge and back/
There are a number of open views along the way, mostly west toward Wallace and Salt Spring Islands.
Most of the trail is a single track through the forest.
Arbutus trees along the trail were just starting to leaf out.
The best parts of the hike are the open views of Trincomali Channel and the Southern Gulf Islands.

On another trip, we paddled from Montague Provincial Park on Galiano Island to Wallace Island, where we camped, hiked, and paddled through the islands for 3 days. Wallace is only 2 km from Bodega Ridge.
