Hillocks and Hummocks Snowshoe — 2 Comments

  1. Doug, I have enjoyed your postings for several years now. Many of your hikes and Kayak trips I have taken (often alone). My hip gave out on me several years ago (I’m 81) so your adventures are most meaningful.
I will comment though: Most of your still pictures are works of art, very, very enjoyable.
Spend more time on still photography and less on movies!
Something I miss not being out on snowshoes is seeing animal tracks, including birds, where they have landed etc. I wonder if you could show some closeups of animal activity exposed by the fresh snow?

  2. Thanks for the kind words, Patrick. Your points are well taken. In winter it is hard to get good photos and other than tracks it is hard to get photos of nature, although I do a lot of tree portraits. Animal activity on the snow in low light results in not very good images and I just don’t carry the equipment with me to get the good photos. Video works a little better in winter and photography is best suited to the other seasons. Right now my posts have a little of both. I am also adding some drone footage of landscapes too. There will be more photos as spring arrives, but there will be both photos, videos, and information each week. In 2022, there will be about 130 posts just on this website and I have 5 websites, so people can pick the ones that interest them. Anyway, thanks for the feedback and your interest. D.
