In the last two years, we have been exploring all the hills around Kamloops Lake.   On a mild winter day with no snow at lower elevations, we hiked the slopes near Balancing Rock, enjoying the views on the ridges and down the gullies.    There was old snags, a balancing rock on a pillar, some hoodoos, some erratics, and many glacier-shaped landforms to enjoy.   Some of the images below have been digitally adjusted to create an impression of the actual photo I took on that day.   Click an image for a caption and a larger (lightbox) view.
