I started exploring this area in 1976 and I continue to follow tracks and routes wherever they lead, with the aid of map, compass, GPSr and camera. After many dead-ends, but also many discoveries, I chose to share this information. Isobel Lake is a fine destination for a short hike or to camp at the redeveloped Rec Site. Fishing is now restricted to youth, in this small, shallow lake stocked with rainbow trout. The Hamilton Corrals Commonage is Crown land in the upper grasslands above Quilchena. Capitol Gorge is a short hike in Capitol Reef National Park in Utah.
