I started exploring this area in 1976 and I continue to follow tracks and routes wherever they lead, with the aid of map, compass, GPSr and camera. After many dead-ends, but also many discoveries, I chose to share this information. Getting out 12 months each year, I continue to explore trails, tracks, routes, and waterways of the Kamloops area and beyond.
In a week of hiking in Waterton National Park, we hiked up Rowe Creek Valley, then up the steep slopes below Mount Lineham to the ridge. The access road is up the Akamina Parkway to the trailhead. Gulf Islands National Park Reserve has lands on most of the southern Gulf Islands, including Mayne Island. We hiked and paddled Campbell Point, Georgeson Island, and the Belle Isle Chain.
