With snow covering the hills, any hiking off the main trails becomes harder work.       If we go into those areas, we keep the routes shorter, especially on a snowy and cold day.

The only tracks were from deer and coyote.

At the edge of Peterson Creek, trails were stomped in.

The valley was socked in and more snow was forecast.
