Ding and Dang
We spent a whole day canyoneering by going up Ding Slot Canyon then traversing past Ding Dang Dome and descended Dang Canyon. Although the route is a bit technical, we were able to make all the ascents and descents without equipment though we often had to devise group-assisted climbs up or more often down. We were able to get around every wet spot except one narrow deep pothole which required wading. Some of the descents were intimidting, but other than some scrapes, we all had fun and we were very tired by the end of the day. The San Rafael Reef is one giant playground and we will be returning for more hike, scrambling, and canyoneering.
