On a cool fall day I drove to Logan Lake and paddled the lake (2 loops) from the campground, then secured the boat,    I hiked the Mimi Falls Trail from the campground.   The trail was developed in 2020 by the District of Logan Lake (as a 50 year celebration of incorporation) in collaboration with the Lower Nicola Indian Band.     It is a 6 km return hike with a good trail, signage, and information kiosks along the way.   

Some of the trail passed through aspen groves, offering some fall colors.  

Much of the route was though open douglas fir forests with pinegrass, junipers, and oregon grape.  

The route wound over a low ridge, then along the grassland slopes above Meadow Creek.  

There is a viewing platform at the end of trail overlooking the Meadow Creek Gorge.    At low water, there wasn’t much of a falls, but it is a pleasant spot and worth the effort to hike there and back.
