Bow Lake Snowshoe
There are a number of off-road-vehicle routes on the flank of Chuwhels Mountain that can be hiked or snowshoed. Some navigation is required and there may or may not be any tracks to follow. I parked off the side of the road to Lodgepole Lake and snowshoed up one of the trails to Bow Lake and back.
For much of the route there was a snowshoe track to follow, though tracks also went off in other directions, but I used a mapping app to keep me on track.
Bow Lake is another hidden lake in the forest. I crossed the lake and could see that a loop route was possible, but for this day, I returned the way I came.
The return solo snowshoe adventure was 5.5 km taking about 1.75 hours. I followed the wrong tracks twice but corrected both times so the route van be done in 1.5 hours.
