Maligne Lake (Part One)
One of the very best paddling destinations anywhere is Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park. The launch spot is at the end of the road and the far end of the lake is about 22km. There are only two campsites on the lake. Coronet Creek (B on the map) is at the far end and Fishermen’s Cove (A) is on the east shore, just past the Narrows.
Both campsites are prime spots, but if the weather is good, the best views are all from the water or on beach stops along the way.
Part Two to follow will provide more details about the route, the campsites, and routes.
