Battle Bluff in the Fall
We hike to Battle Bluff about three times this year… When conditions are marginal, this is always a good choice. The trailhead is much easier to spot now. BC Parks has erected a sign in front of a concrete barricade and the route is now a straight line to the gully. The trail is easy to follow, although a couple of shortcuts can also be seen. Go up the gully from the parking area, wind around the hill on the double track, go down the open slope, bear left on the flats, and then climb the bluff on a single track We are planing a bit of a switchback up the first steep slope on Battle Bluff. Flagging tape now marks the route up the hill. The end of the trail is the top of the bluff, a 2km hike from the Dewdrop Road.

This is one of the best hikes of our area and there is a wonderful viewpoint from the top of the Bluff.
