There is a large (but not deep) cave near the foot of the rockwall on Rockface Mountain, not far from Pinantan Lake.    The route into the pass between Harper Mountain and Rockface Mountain is accessed  from the Pinantan Lake Road and then either end of the Hale Vinnie Road.

The foot of Rockface Mountain can be accessed off the Pinantan-Harper Road, by turning west (this is a mapped road), and then turning north at the 3 way junction at N50 43.360, W120 05.125. This route is better suited for a summer visit since it can be driven a fair ways up.

The hike up to the bottom of the face of Rockface Mountain can be also be done by parking on the Hale Vinnie Road and following a double-track road starting at N50 43.971, W120 04.035. The road winds its way upwards to a point just below the cave. A well-used trail leads up a ridge to the cave, but the last 100m is on a talus slope. The entrance to the cave is in steep terrain. All routes into the cave require scrambling so hikers are urged to show caution. The upper part of the cave is home to bats and a layer of guano can be seen on a shelf higher up.
