McQueen Lake
The McQueen Lake Environmental Center has some well-established trails that invite hikers in every season. It is important, though, to be sensitive to avoiding the trails near the Overnight Center during weekdays when school groups are using the facilities. The best access route is at the gate to the Day Center in the southwest corner of the property, but an alternate route is on the Isobel Lake Road just past the northeast corner of the property. My favorite route is around the red trail to the Day Center, then the Blue Trail to Griffin Lake, around Griffin Lake on the Orange Trail and back on any one of 3 trails.
